Your first channel
Channels are where conversations happen. Here is how to set one up well from the start.
A channel is the organizing unit for conversation in OnceAsked, similar in spirit to a chat room but built around the River rather than a traditional scrolling thread. Channels can be public to the workspace, private to invited members, or scoped further with a project guide describing what the channel is for.
When you create a channel, give it a clear purpose. Channels that mix several unrelated topics tend to become noisy quickly, and the search and AI features work best when a channel has a coherent subject.
You can always split or archive a channel later without losing its history, so it is worth erring toward more, narrowly scoped channels rather than fewer broad ones.
