Message cards explained
Every unit of content in OnceAsked, from a chat message to a document, is a card.
A message card is the basic unit of the River. At its simplest it holds a text message and its author, but the same card format also carries documents, polls, scheduled events, and the results of automated actions your team runs.
Cards can be replied to, forming a thread that stays attached to the original card rather than scattering across the channel. They can also be pinned, tagged, or annotated, and each carries a stable identifier so you can reference or search for it later.
Because every kind of content shares the same card format, search and the AI assistant can reason across messages, documents, and actions uniformly instead of treating each type as a separate silo.
