Webhooks let an external system receive a real-time notification when an event occurs in your workspace, such as a new message in a channel or a document being shared, rather than polling the API on a schedule.
Each webhook is configured with a target URL and the specific event types it should receive, and includes a signing secret so your endpoint can verify that a request genuinely came from OnceAsked.
