Archiving channels
Retire a channel without losing its history.
Archiving a channel removes it from the active channel list while preserving its full message and document history, which stays searchable and can be restored later if needed. This is the recommended way to retire a channel rather than deleting it outright.
Archived channels do not count toward an active-channel limit on plans that have one, making archiving a useful way to keep a workspace tidy as projects wrap up.
