Data retention policies
How long messages, documents, and account data are kept.
Message and document retention is unlimited on Standard and above; the Free plan retains 90 days of history. Retention applies to search and normal access; if a member is removed or a workspace is downgraded, a grace period applies before any data is permanently deleted.
Individual channels or messages can also be set to expire automatically for teams with their own internal retention requirements, configurable per channel from channel settings.
